Health Tips You Can Do at Home

The first health idea you can practice at home is choosing healthy foods that contain minimal amounts of unhealthy fats. Unhealthy fats include trans fats and saturated fats that can raise your LDL cholesterol and elevate LDL cholesterol so the possibility to have heart disease is high. It doesn’t mean you can’t eat fats. You still can consume healhty fats in moderation since mono-saturated and poli-unsaturated as well as omega-3 fats are all good for your body. Those good fats can lower your LDL cholesterol and raise your HDL cholesterol that later decrease the risk for hear disease.

The next health advice you can take is choosing foods that are low in sugar and highly refined carbohydrates. Try to minimize the consumption of sweets, soft drinks, white bread and sugary fruit juices. You can consume whole fuits, freshly-squeezed juices and whole grain bread instead. Moreover, you need to eat a variety of different whole foods instead of eating processed foods. Eat fruits and vegetables that contain high vitamin and mineral. Then, choose to eat lean meat, beans and tofu to meet the protein need. You also can eat whole grains like whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice and quinoa.

Get Some Exercise and Avoid Unhealthy Habits

You can apply the health advice like stretching in the morning to start and finish your workout. Warm up your muscles by gentle stretching before you work out so your muscles will relax after you work out. If it is needed you can go to the gym 3 to 5 times a week. You don’t need to spend many hours there. You only need to have half an hour to an hour to have cardio and strength training programs in the gym. You also can exercise in your neighborhood by jogging or taking your dog for a walk. Make sure that you do it for at least 30 minutes. Do some gardening and housekeeping activities and walk or bike instead of driving your car.

The next health advice is staying away from fat diets like liquid diets, diet pills and other diet supplements unless you are under the supervision of your doctor. Then, it is also important to have some rest periods between your workouts since having too long, too often and too much intensity of work out can increase your risk for injury. You also need to kjnow what you weigh since being overweight or underweight are not healthy for your body. Consult to your doctor about the best weight you should have. If you smoke, avoid it to live healthier and if you consume alcohol try to stop drinking it to save your liver. The last, get plenty of sleep to live longer.
